DBS Chefs -Grimsby/Scunthorpe areaWe are seeking dedicated and experienced DBS Chefs to join our team in Grimsby and Scunthorpe area. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating high-quality meals and a strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.The role consists of relief work across a range of our DBS environments which spans schools, hospitals, care homes and more.This is a flexible role that revolves around your availability!The ideal candidate will have a strong culinary background, with experience in various cooking techniques within the care sector. Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to thrive under pressure are essential, as is a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences.Responsibilities:- Prepare and cook meals according to set menus and recipes- Taking charge of the kitchen and the kitchen team- Ensure all food preparation meets hygiene and safety standards- Manage inventory and order supplies as needed- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment- Following safeguarding regulationsRequirements:- Valid enhanced DBS certificate- Food and Hygiene certificate level 2 at minimum- Attention to detail- Work under pressure- Great knowledge of dietary requirements included blended and pureed food- Able to fit into different teams- Good knowledge of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP)- Knowledge of food production methods- Good maths/numeracy skills- Effective oral communication with all members of the teamWhy should you apply?- Great pay rates- Weekly pay- Flexible working hours- Paid for every minute worked- Holiday payIf you are a qualified and enthusiastic chef with a valid DBS certificate, we would love to hear from you.Blue Arrow is proud to be a Disability Confident Employer and is committed to helping find great work opportunities for great people.JBRP1_UKTJ
