FLT/Yard Operator

ALTHOUGH YOU WILL OPERATE A FLT, THE MAJORITY OF WORK ARE YARD DUTIES, YOU WILL ONLY OPERATE THE FLT 10 PERCENT OF YOUR WORKING DAY. THERE ARE NO PUBLIC TRANSPORT LINKS TO SITE, SO YOU MUST HAVE YOUR OWN TRANSPORT OF LIVE IN CYCLING DISTANCE TO STALLINGBOROUGH. We have a immediate opportunity with one of our clients, a major haulage and distribution organisation offering full time on going work, in a modern clean working environment. Main duties- FLT CB Driving Dispatch Operations Trailer loading/unloading Yard duties Strapping duties Some warehouse duties General housekeeping Applicants must be aware they will be working in a busy haulage yard environment and much of the work is outside and in sheds. The work can be at times strenuous and repetitive, so a very good level of physical fitness is required. The position are on going full time, with a possible perm opportunities for the right candidate. Applicants must have the following- In date independent FLT CB Licence 1 year FLT driving experience Some experience of working in a haulage/distribution environment, ideally with strapping experience but not essential.
