In preparation, we are seeking a dedicated and passionate Dog Groomer to join our team, and grow alongside us. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a commitment to providing exceptional grooming services. As a Dog Groomer, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of dogs, while delivering high-quality grooming services to our clients. Your role will involve working closely with both dogs and their owners, requiring excellent customer service skills. Responsibilities Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, clipping, and styling of various breeds of dogs. Assess the condition of dogs coats and skin, identifying any potential health issues that may require veterinary attention. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with dog owners regarding grooming options and aftercare. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly sanitised. Handle dogs safely and compassionately, ensuring their comfort throughout the grooming process. Lift and manage larger breeds or heavier dogs as necessary during grooming sessions. Keep accurate records of each dog's grooming history and any special requirements. Qualifications Proven experience in pet grooming is essential (references, please). Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with dog owners. Knowledge of animal care practices, including basic veterinary knowledge to identify health concerns. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required when handling larger animals. A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their welfare.
