Registered Vet Nurse

Abbey Veterinary Group, Greenock are looking for a proactive and compassionate RVN to join our dedicated and caring team. We are a well-established, friendly, mixed practice with surgeries in Paisley and Greenock. You will be joining a support network of vets, nurses, ACAs and receptionists.We aim to provide excellent first opinion care to our patients, and a great service to our loyal, long-standing clients. Duties are based on a rota system consisting of; caring for both medical, surgical and isolation patients, assisting vets in both theatre and prep areas, ordering and stock control of our pharmacy and lab work. In addition, we would like to increase our availability of nurse consultations and develop a range of nurse clinics. Personal growth is actively encouraged and we would welcome candidates looking to do further qualifications.Our facilities include two operating theatres with multi-parameter monitors, the latest Karl Storz laparoscopy equipment for performing laparoscopic procedures, a fully equipped lab with the latest haematology, biochemistry, electrolyte and therapeutic monitoring analysers, an ultrasound scanner, digital radiography and a dedicated dental x-ray unit.Greenock is a historic town on the banks of the river Clyde, with stunning views across to the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park and coastal towns and beaches all nearby. There are great transport links by bus, train and ferry to nearby places such as Glasgow, Dunoon and Largs.
