Compliance Manager

Job DescriptionWe are working with a prestigious international law firm to hire a Compliance Manager in Manchester. In this role, youll co-lead a team of analysts, overseeing new business checks, advising lawyers on compliance and risk, and driving improvements in the firms business acceptance procedures and systems.The firm is looking for a compliance professional with significant experience in a legal or professional services environment, and a strong understanding of conflicts, financial crime, and regulatory risk. You should bring proven leadership experience, ideally having managed analyst teams, training programmes, and service delivery in a global setting.The responsibilities will include:Co-managing the central compliance teamProviding technical and personal development support to analystsOverseeing quality assurance and workflow management across global teams to resolve complex legal, commercial and risk-related issuesBuilding and maintaining strong relationships with senior stakeholdersAdvising key stakeholders on regulatory and reputational risks, with consideration of regulations and internal policiesDesigning and delivering an ongoing programme of training for both analysts and legal/business teams across the firmContributing to the continuous improvement of policies, procedures and systems to drive continuous improvement and efficienciesPromoting a mindset of innovation and continuous improvement within the team and the wider firmThey are looking for candidates with excellent communication, high attention to detail, and the ability to lead and influence in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.This is an outstanding opportunity to take on a strategic role within a globally recognised firm, offering scope to influence policy, lead talented teams, and work with senior stakeholders.
