Job Description Founded in 2000 by Princess Marie-Chantal of Greece mother, creative director, and author, the brand has grown over the years to become an internationally recognised luxury lifestyle and gifting brand.Since launching our iconic Angel Wing, the eponymous label now comprises of Manners Begin at Breakfast, Marie-Chantal's best-selling guide on modern etiquette for families, and cosy collections including newborn essentials, signature sleepwear, beautiful loungewear and home fragrances.We are a luxury gifting brand for the whole family: from newborn to toddler, teen and beyond, with the launch of our Match your Mini Collection, whilst remaining the go-to for gifting with beautiful gift ideas for babies, mothers and parents to be.Location: London, Chelsea, Worlds End StudioPart-time/Freelance: 20 hours a week. Working days and hours are negotiable and will be agreed with the successful candidate.Start time: January 5th. GARMENT TECHNOLOGIST- LUXURY BABY AND CHILDRENSWEARA key role within the product team, youll be joining as ourPart-Time/FreelanceGarment Technologistwho is responsible forthe fit, quality and compliance of our collectionsin accordance with our critical path.Previous experience operating asa JuniorGarment TechnologistUnderstanding of gradingandfitting,creating and adaptingspec sheets and an excellentknowledgeofgarment construction.Understanding of compliance for childrenswear product testing andowning compliancerequirementsfor new countries.Ability to understand testing reportsand propose required testing for all categories.Ability to translate fit sessions into clear fit comments for all product stages and communicate directly with the factory to ensure understanding and action.Ability to juggle multiple seasons at the same time in afast-pacedenvironment-keeping to agreed deadlines, and ability to constantly re prioritise as required.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically ExcelMain tasksWorkingcloselywith designer/productionmanagertobuildcoherent techsheetsandgrading.Creating how to measurediagramsand communicating with factories to ensure consistency.Measuring and fitting all samples across all seasons, making improvements and making comments within the tech packs.Directly communicating with the factories to ensure understanding and action of all comments.Takingownership of theroleand manage the weekly tasks accordinglytothecritical path and deadlines.Ensuring that all carry over blocks are approved for all sizes for each factory and build a block library to ensure speedyreplenfor minimising sampling once in production.Proposing and approving test reports for wash careandcarrying out any wear testing.Explore implementation of AQL procedure in factories for quality control.Communicating withfactories ondevelopment andproductionissues and comments. Chasing in sampling and ensuring thesetcritical path is adhered too.
