Job DescriptionHead of Fundraising and DevelopmentThe 10,000 Interns FoundationLocation: London (Hybrid working with mandatory in-office days 2-3 days a week)Reporting to: Chief Impact Officer (with dotted line management to Chief Operating Officer)Seniority: SLTRole Type: Full TimeBase Salary: 50,000Start Date: ImmediateThe RoleWe are seeking a strategic, creative and driven Head of Fundraising and Development to lead and grow our income generation and partnerships work. This is a pivotal role at a key point in our charitys development, combining strategic vision with hands-on delivery.The successful candidate will lead across multiple income streams (including corporate partnerships, trusts and foundations, public giving, and membership) and play a central role in developing and securing new partnerships aligned with our impact and innovation agenda.Youll be a natural relationship-builder, confident managing stakeholders at all levels, and able to make compelling cases for support backed by data and stories of impact, in addition to assuring contracted income.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic LeadershipIdentify new income opportunities and growth areas (e.g. innovation funding, CSR partnerships, high-net-worth individuals).Make data-led recommendations to improve income diversification and long-term sustainability.Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure alignment between income generation and programme delivery.Ensure resources are allocated appropriately in order to juggle different priorities across corporate fundraising, grants and foundations, public giving, and strategic partnershipsFundraising & Income GenerationLead on securing income from a variety of streams: trusts and foundations, corporate partnerships, individual giving, strategic partnership, andmembership.Research, identify, and pursue new corporate fundraising opportunities, creating tailored proposals and pitches.Manage and grow relationships with funders, donors, and partners to maximise lifetime value.Ensure timely and high-quality reporting to funders, stakeholders, and c-suite.Partnership Development & ManagementGenerate and nurture new strategic partnership leads, with a focus on long-term collaboration.Represent the charity externally, including at sector events and networking opportunities.Project manage active partnerships, ensuring deliverables are met, risks are managed, and impact is monitored.Collaborate across teams to embed partnership value into programme and communications planning.Monitoring, Evaluation & Impact ReportingDevelop systems to track performance of income streams and partnerships against agreed KPIs.Produce regular internal reports and contribute to Board-level updates on income and fundraising impact.Work with the impact team to ensure we can articulate and evidence the impact of our work clearly and consistently.About You:Essential Skills and ExperienceProven track record of meeting or exceeding income targets across multiple fundraising streams.Experience of developing and/or implementing successful fundraising strategies.Demonstrable experience building and managing partnerships, particularly in the corporate or philanthropic sectors.Strong written and verbal communication skills persuasive, clear and tailored to diverse audiences.Excellent stakeholder management skills, from funders to board members and community partners.Strong project management skills, able to balance multiple priorities with efficiency and flexibility.Entrepreneurial mindset proactive, creative and willing to test new approaches.Preferred Skills and ExperienceAlignment with our mission and beneficiaries.Experience working in a small or growing charity environment.Familiarity with impact measurement and reporting frameworks.Knowledge of innovation funding or partnerships in tech, social enterprise, or systems change contexts.CRM/database experience for tracking fundraising and donor engagement.Role Reporting:This role reports to the Chief Impact Officer, but will have a dotted reporting line to the Chief Operating Officer. The role is a Head of Department role, with no reports at present, but with the opportunity to build out a team in the future. The role holder will be a key member of the SLT, and will collaborates strongly, and cross-functionally across the business to ensure effective ways of working and efficiency.
