Job DescriptionExperienced Dog GroomerAre you a passionate and experienced dog groomer? RiverDog Studio in Richmond is looking for a skilled and reliable groomer to join our growing team! We take pride in providing excellent grooming services and creating a welcoming atmosphere for both dogs and their owners.What You'll Do:Consult with Clients: Understand grooming preferences and provide realistic expectations.Prepare Dogs for Grooming: Wash, dry, and brush/de-mat dogs to get them ready for their grooming session.Groom Independently: Perform both breed-standard and pet grooms to a high standard. Hand stripping ability is a plus!Team Collaboration: Work alongside other groomers to ensure all dogs and clients are well taken care of.Maintain Cleanliness: Keep the shop and grooming area clean and tidy.Customer Communication: Answer phones, respond to emails, and manage bookings and inquiries.Uphold Studio Standards: Maintain the welcoming atmosphere and tone of RiverDog Studio at all times.Other Duties: Support the business as needed, ensuring smooth operations.What Were Looking For:Experience: Minimum 2 years of dog grooming experience post-qualification/apprenticeship.Customer Service: Strong communication skills and customer service experience.Organisational Skills: Ability to manage your workload independently while collaborating with other groomers.Hand Stripping: Ability to hand strip is preferred, but not required.Work Ethic: Hard-working, reliable, and a true team player.Full-time, Monday to Saturday, with a rotating day off between Monday and Thursday.Compensation & Benefits:Hourly Pay: 12.50 per hour during the 3-month probationary period, rising to 13 per hour upon successful completion, based on experience.Additional Pay: Tips.Scissor sharpening includedWere excited to meet our next team member!
