Job Description Job OverviewThe UK Director will lead Trade Techs complete sales process, including new client acquisition across the UK market. This role encompasses responsibility for the complete Syrinx platform across all modes.The person should have a desire to build the Trade Tech business from the ground up in the UKAs the senior Trade Tech representative in the UK, you will drive business growth, ensure operational excellence, maintain compliance standards, and build strategic partnerships across the logistics and freight forwarding sectors.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute comprehensive business strategy for Trade Tech's UK operations, driving market expansion across freight forwarders, carriers, NVOCCs, logistics providers, and Customs brokersOwn the full sales cycle from prospecting to closure, consistently meeting revenue targets through effective pipeline management and strategic account development across ocean, air, road, and rail freight sectorsManage day-to-day UK operations and service delivery, coordinating with global teams to maintain quality standards, monitor KPIs, and ensure operational excellence across all Syrinx modulesLead client onboarding and implementation, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, retention, and platform adoption through regular business reviews and proactive account managementOversee compliance operations including UK Safety & Security declarations and ICS2 ENS filings, ensuring adherence to UK and European Customs regulations across all transport modesRepresent Trade Tech at industry events, conferences, and Customs forums, building a strong network within UK logistics and compliance communitiesDevelop pricing strategies and commercial proposals, managing client relationships at C-level and operational levels while providing accurate sales forecasting to leadershipMonitor competitive landscape and provide market intelligence to inform strategy, identifying emerging trends, regulatory changes, and opportunities for innovationManage relationships with UK Customs authorities and key industry stakeholders, staying current on regulatory developments and market dynamicsCollaborate with global Sales, Product, Marketing, Customer Success, and Compliance teams, providing UK market feedback to inform product roadmap and development prioritiesKey RequirementsIndustry Expertise: 10+ years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, shipping, Customs brokerage, or related supply chain sectors with deep understanding of UK and European marketsMulti-Modal Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of ocean, air, road, and rail freight operations and compliance requirementsCompliance Proficiency: Demonstrated expertise in customs compliance, security filings, and specifically UK Safety & Security declarations and ICS2 ENS regulations across transport modesSales & Leadership: Proven track record of driving revenue growth, managing complex sales cycles, and leading business operationsTechnology Acumen: Experience with logistics software platforms, TMS systems, or Customs filing solutions; ability to articulate technical solutions to diverse audiences, and a desire to sell cutting edge software solutions to the forwarding market.
