The role supervises and leads the accounts assistants as well as being hands on with posting journals, analysing reports and accounts. The Senior Accounting Manager leads all IT projects regarding accounting and maintains the accounting systems. The improvement of procedures and policies is a key part of the role.Responsibilities:Team ManagementManage and develop the sales and purchase accounts assistantsCoach and mentor team members by setting daily and weekly goalsReview the sales and purchase ledgers monthly for aged debtors and aged creditors with relevant team membersWeekly monitoring of all sales orders, invoices and credit notes via scorecard reviewAccounting functionsSupervise the monthly and yearly closings for MBIL (UK entity) and other EU entitiesPrepare the financial statements for the UK entity and Group ConsolidationConduct the monthly closing checks and controls to guarantee accuracy in the financial statements: sales invoices, purchase invoices, expenses and general accountingManage credit risk and review credit insurance requirements for external clientsLiaise with the Auditors for annual audit matters for UK and EU entitiesDevelop and maintain relationships with banks and credit cards providersBanking ManagementReview and prepare payments for UK and EU entitiesBanking oversight across UK and EU BanksIntercompany loan management & Intercompany payment flowTax ManagementSubmit international and UK VAT returnsSubmit annual corporation tax returns and preparation of tax ixbrl tagging for the UK returnGeneral ManagementResolve any escalated issues with customers and suppliersSupervise the implementation and maintenance of IT systemsSeek to constantly improve financial procedures, policies and systemsParticipation in ad-hoc projectsSkills and Experience Required:Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA would be preferred)Experience in a financial management role, preferably in the luxury / retail industryProficient in MS OfficeStrong and effective presentation skills and ability to converse with a diverse range of people at all levelsAbility to prioritise tasks and ensure delivery of results within tight deadlinesExcellent organisational skillsHigh level of accuracy required in all tasksHigh level of finesse and excellence required in delivery of all tasksProficient in Netsuite would be beneficialManolo Blahnik is an equal opportunity employer and are committed to preserving a caring, diverse and inclusive culture with people who feel a real sense of belonging.
