Job Description We are looking for a Manufacturing Manager / Production and Engineering Manager to lead a skilled team in a high-reliability aerospace and defence environment, focusing on electromechanical products. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will drive process improvements, operational efficiency, and innovation across the production floor.Role Overview:Manage the Production Engineering and Test team, encouraging high performance and a culture of continuous improvementImplement lean manufacturing practices and optimise production processes to reduce waste and improve efficiencyIntroduce and support digital solutions and AI tools to improve decision-making, quality, and productivityMaintain compliance with high-reliability manufacturing standards, including AS9100Develop engineering strategies and roadmaps aligned with the company's long-term objectivesCandidate Profile:Experience leading production or manufacturing engineering teamsStrong understanding of lean methods such as 5S, Kaizen, SMED, standard work, and value stream mappingSkilled in structured problem solving and root cause analysis (8D, FMEA, SPC, Fishbone)Background in high-reliability or regulated manufacturing environmentsFamiliarity with digital manufacturing, data analytics, or AI tools is desirableExcellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilitiesBenefits:Salary: 70,000 - 75,000Flexible working arrangements including a 9-day fortnight and half-day Fridays25 days holiday with the option to purchase additional leavePrivate healthcare and health cash planPension contributions at 6% and life assurance of 4x salarySupport for professional development and relocation up to 8,000
