Job Description At Giraffe Childrens Services, we believe every child deserves to stand tall to feel safe, understood and supported to reach their full potential.Were opening a brand-new, high-quality childrens home in Great Harwood for young people with learning disabilities and complex needs and were looking for an inspiring Deputy Manager to help lead this exciting new service.Youll work alongside a passionate Registered Manager to create a warm, therapeutic and family-style home. This isnt just a management role its a chance to help shape a culture where every child is truly seen, and every member of staff is valued and supported.What youll be doingSupporting the Registered Manager to ensure the home meets Ofsteds Good or Outstanding standardsLeading, mentoring and developing a skilled and compassionate care teamEmbedding person-centred, evidence-based approaches such as PBS, TEACCH and MakatonMaintaining high standards of safeguarding, health 'safety and regulatory complianceWorking closely with families, schools and professionals to achieve exceptional outcomes for every childWhat were looking forLevel 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)Working towards Level 5 Leadership & Management for Residential ChildcareExperience supporting children with learning disabilities or autismAt least 2 years experience in a childrens residential or LD setting, including supervisory experienceA calm, reflective and child-focused approach with strong leadership and communication skillsWhat youll get from usA genuine opportunity to help build and shape a new Ofsted-registered homeComprehensive induction and ongoing professional developmentSupport to complete your Level 5 qualificationA caring, values-driven culture where your voice matters and your wellbeing countsIf youre passionate about creating homes where children with learning disabilities can thrive, grow and stand tall, wed love to hear from you.
