Were opening a brand-new, high-quality childrens home in Great Harwood for young people with learning disabilities and complex needs and were looking for an inspiring Deputy Manager to help lead this exciting new service. Youll work alongside a passionate Registered Manager to create a warm, therapeutic and family-style home. This isnt just a management role its a chance to help shape a culture where every child is truly seen, and every member of staff is valued and supported. What youll be doing Supporting the Registered Manager to ensure the home meets Ofsteds Good or Outstanding standards Leading, mentoring and developing a skilled and compassionate care team Embedding person-centred, evidence-based approaches such as PBS, TEACCH and Makaton Maintaining high standards of safeguarding, health & safety and regulatory compliance Working closely with families, schools and professionals to achieve exceptional outcomes for every child What were looking for Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) Working towards Level 5 Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare Experience supporting children with learning disabilities or autism At least 2 years experience in a childrens residential or LD setting, including supervisory experience A calm, reflective and child-focused approach with strong leadership and communication skills What youll get from us A genuine opportunity to help build and shape a new Ofsted-registered home Comprehensive induction and ongoing professional development Support to complete your Level 5 qualification A caring, values-driven culture where your voice matters and your wellbeing counts If youre passionate about creating homes where children with learning disabilities can thrive, grow and stand tall , wed love to hear from you.
