Fresh Produce Product Manager

Are you experienced in fresh produce product management or quality control and looking to take the next step in your career? Were seeking a Product Manager to join a fast-paced fresh produce business, ensuring products are managed, packed, and released to the highest standards while maximising stock utilisation and maintaining strong customer service levels. This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week. What Youll Be Doing: Monitor and manage product quality on site to ensure compliance with specifications. Allocate stock and sales orders effectively to maximise utilisation and minimise waste. Supervise and support packing operations, ensuring adherence to standards and specifications. Motivate and guide staff to maintain company quality expectations. Plan and manage daily stock requirements and usage. Inspect returned or stored stock, escalating issues where required. Oversee shelf-life trials, product re-inspections, and evaluations. Monitor storage conditions, including temperature, and recommend corrective actions where necessary. Ensure safe stacking, handling, and a compliant working environment. Support trials, product testing, and other QC-related activities as needed. What Were Looking For: Previous experience in fresh produce product management or quality control. HACCP training and a solid understanding of food safety and health 'safety standards. Strong product quality management and decision-making skills. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across different levels. IT literate, with skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and developing spreadsheets. Organised, proactive, and adaptable to a fast-paced environment.
