This role is ideal for a design-focused, innovative engineer who thrives in fast-paced environments and wants to drive product innovation using new materials, processes, and technologies.With over 100 years of manufacturing heritage and now part of a larger international group, this business offers excellent career progression, access to group-level innovation, and leadership opportunities.You’ll join a high-impact team aligned to one of three core product value streams, supporting agile design, NPD, and commercial responsiveness.Key ResponsibilitiesLead or support NPD projects from concept to launchResearch and integrate new materials and manufacturing processesTranslate customer requirements into practical, cost-effective solutionsProduce detailed design documentation and test protocolsCollaborate with sales, manufacturing, and external stakeholdersConduct testing, analyse data, and iterate on performanceSupport product industrialisation and continuous improvement initiativesContribute to ISO9001 processes and R&D sessionsAbout YouDegree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or related field5+ years in product development, ideally with experience in new materialsStrong CAD/design skills and understanding of engineering drawings and testingAerospace experience or regulatory knowledge is a plusExcellent communicator, highly organised, commercially awareThis is a hands-on, cross-functional role where your ideas will shape the future of innovative, market-leading products.To learn more or apply, get in touch with the Design & Projects team at Elevation Recruitment.
