Garment TechnologistAre you a product-driven technologist with a sharp eye for detail and construction?Do you thrive on bringing design concepts to life through technical expertise, fit accuracy, and quality standards?Can you confidently manage womenswear product development while supporting across menswear where needed?MacGregor Black is currently partnering with a leading fashion brand on the search for a Garment Technologist, based in Manchester.This is a hands-on technical role within the product team, responsible for ensuring garments meet design intent, fit requirements, and commercial standards, from first sample through to production.Key Responsibilities:Manage the full fitting process across womenswear, supporting menswear where required.Translate design concepts into technical specifications, ensuring accuracy and consistency.Work closely with Designers and Product Developers to deliver garments that meet brand DNA and quality standards.Conduct fit sessions, provide detailed feedback, and drive improvements with suppliers.Oversee sealing process from proto through to production, ensuring deadlines are met.Maintain and update tech packs, size charts, and construction details.Partner with suppliers to resolve technical issues quickly and effectively.Monitor product quality, ensuring compliance with brand, legal, and safety standards.What We’re Looking For:Proven experience as a Garment Technologist, ideally within fashion apparel.Strong technical knowledge of garment construction, pattern cutting, and fabrics.Experience fitting across womenswear; openness to support menswear categories.Skilled in tech pack creation, garment measurements, and fit comments.Collaborative, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering quality product.Confident communicator, able to influence designers, suppliers, and stakeholders.Please contact Tom Honeyman for more details today.
