Product Owner - Maidenhead - Fixed Term Contract (6-9mths)A successful company based in Maidenhead is seeking a Product Manager to join their highly entrepreneurial and experienced team. As a Product Manager you'll be responsible for the creation and evolution of exciting products which meet the needs of their customers and the business.The work can be performed on a hybrid basis - typically 3 days onsite / 2 days remote.Key Responsibilities:Stay aligned with and contribute to the product vision, roadmaps and prioritiesWork closely with stakeholders (customers, partners, consulting, support) to understand product needs and translate into actionable user storiesServe as a product evangelist, particularly with Product Managers and Business teams, to help them understand the best practices of using the platformContribute and develop documentation for new features including user interface mock-ups, process, data sequence diagrams, and release notesLead sprint ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement and Retrospectives Collaborate with teams to review output during sprints, answer questions about desired functionality/outcomes lead sprint reviews and product demosEnsure the team has the appropriate number of stories in the backlog prepared for sprint planning by conducting backlog refinement, monitor ready stories vs. velocityManage product backlog in ALM tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, etc.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science, data analytics or a related field1 - 3 years of experience working as a business analyst, product owner or similar roleHighly motivated self-starter with a desire to help others, act and seek out resources to excel within the roleRequires strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into non-technical termsAbility to multi-task and prioritize tasks with competing deadlinesStrong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to work under pressureCollaborative in nature with a strong desire to dig in and learn independently and as well as through asking questionsConsiders ‘best-practice’ standards, as well as departmental policies and proceduresUnderstands the fundamentals of software development processes and proceduresSharp analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detailIn-depth knowledge of Agile process and principlesPreferred QualificationsDomain experience in the Convenience Retail Industry, Downstream Fuel Industry, ERP, Logistics or Financial transaction processing solutions preferredIf this exciting opportunity could be of interest - please let me know ASAP.
