Job Title: Infrastructure EngineerJob Levels: Senior & Lead (2 positions)Salaries: £60,000 - £75,000 + Benefits (listed below)Location: 4-5 days per week in CheltenhamRole type: PermanentClearance requirements: Senior (Eligible for DV), Lead (Actively DV Cleared)About the job:We are working with a very technical SME client who is actively seeking 2 Infrastructure Engineers to join their team, one at Senior level & one at Lead. They are looking for someone who can take full ownership of the design, implementation, and ongoing support of critical IT infrastructure for both their internal organisational needs and their customer environments.They operate within the highly technical fields of cyber technologies and software assurance, with a specific focus on safeguarding national infrastructure. They deliver a broad spectrum of expertise, ranging from high-level software test assurance and test automation solutions to the provision of infrastructure for hosting synthetic environments.Key day to day responsibilities:Design and Implementation:Planning, design, and implementation of IT infrastructure solutions (physical and virtual)Ensuring timely delivery of solutions, aligned to customer requirementsMaintenance and Support:Ongoing maintenance and support of deployed IT infrastructureTimely troubleshooting and resolution of reported IT Infrastructure issuesDocumentation:Creation, development, and maintenance of comprehensive documentation for all deployed, monitored, and supported infrastructureDocumentation of critical incidents, and steps taken to redress related issuesAutomation:Development and maintenance of scripts and/or automation tools used to increase efficiency of common system administration tasksKey Experience & Skills:Networking (Cisco, Juniper, HP, Dell)Networking technologies and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP etc)Virtualisation (VMware, Hyper-V)Scripting/IaC tools (Ansible/AWX, Python, PowerShell, BASH)System Administration (Microsoft, Linux)Backup technologies (NetBackup/Veeam)Benefits package (Exact package depandant on grade)25 Days holiday (+Bank Holidays)Company EV Car Scheme*AXA HealthCare*Company Pension SchemeTraining Package/BudgetGreat company advancement and supportPlease either apply through this advert or emailing me directly via jon.mills@.
