LOCATION: Gloucester HOURS: 08.00 16.30 Monday to Friday START DATE: Immediate PAY: 50,000pa - 60,000pa depending on experience Permanent Job Vacancy - Technical Sales Engineer and Estimator We are looking for a Technical Sales Engineer and Estimator to join our clients team. The ideal candidate will have experience in estimating for structural steel projects and have been customer facing. Our client is a leader in the engineering sector and is seeking a candidate who can lead sales projects and this will include estimating. We require an experienced candidate to support the delivery of accurate and competitive quotations for a range of projects. Youll work closely with engineering and commercial teams to interpret drawings and contribute directly to the success of bids. This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented Engineer with strong technical knowledge and commercial insight to join a stable and forward-thinking team. Duties: Identifying high value clients within the industry to bring in value sales Promoting our business services Contacting prospective customers both face to face and on the telephone, email and TEAMS Utilise CRM system as well as in house systems Onboarding new customers and estimating for projects Communicating with clients ensuring a high level of customer service Demonstrate exceptional time management skills Driving to visit prospective and new customers when required (mileage paid) Use of strong customer service orientation skills Experience or producing and presenting PowerPoint presentations Requirements: HNC/HND qualification in Mechanical or Civil Engineering Experience of customer facing sales roles Minimum 5 years experience in an estimating role Strong ability to read technical drawings and produce accurate material take-offs IT literate with good command of estimating tools or systems Experience in compiling bid information and producing quotations Experience in structural steel or fabrication-based projects Familiarity with industry-standard estimating or CAD software Strong written and verbal communication skills Commercial awareness and a proactive mindset Ability to work independently while collaborating across departments Good IT knowledge Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English Proficiency in Excel for data management Effective time management capabilities Office organisational skills for efficient workflow This role has an initial probationary period of 3 months with review.
