We have an exciting opportunity to join our Engineering Team, based in our European Headquarters in Glenrothes.ENGINEERING PLANNERLOCATION: GlenrothesWORKING HOURS: 40 hours, Monday FridayEDUCATION: HNC or equivalent in an engineering discipline is preferredEXPERIENCE: Relevant experience in a similar role within a manufacturing maintenance environmentOverviewTo improve work force productivity and product quality by eliminating in advance potential maintenance work delays and obstacles through proper planning and coordination of parts, machine time and manpower. Incumbent uses CMMS software to plan maintenance work in order to support maximum equipment reliability and up time along with maximum, effective tool time from Maintenance technicians. Proactively emphasized a safe working environment and procedures for maintenance technicians and other plant personnel.Duties and responsibilitiesWorks to administrator level using a CMMS. (Computer maintenance management system)Obtains drawings, instructional manuals and special procedures, as needed, from files or other sources for any needed clarificationDetermines scope of work order using system and/or manually generated information to define parametersIdentifies needed parts or materials or special tools and orders same as necessaryDetermines estimate of expected number of personnel needed for the job and/or required hoursEstimates cost of each work order in terms of direct labor, materials required and total cost.Analyse work order load / due dates, available maintenance resources, and production asset run requirements to determine disconnects between production schedules and maintenance requirements or parts availabilityIntegrates schedule of needed PM along with repair work orders into overall maintenance planDevelops a maintenance work schedule for the Asset Owners and the Engineering Manager.Assembles/builds kits of all parts/supplies needed for common or known repairs in advance of planned work to maximise maintenance technicians availabilityMaintains appropriate records of asset maintenance histories, lead times, etc to allow for meaningful analysis and reporting of results or work done.What youll get in returnA competitive salary and benefits package in line with your experience.Continuous training and improvement to help you achieve your goals.FlextimeFlexible workingSound good?
