Job Description Fantastic opportunity for an experienced 3rd line engineer to join the most exciting tech business in Scotland.We are looking for someone to join our support team to provide 3rd line support to both internal and external customers. The ideal applicants should be a technically sound individual with the ability to work in high pressure situations teamed with a demonstrable knowledge of the core concepts of a multi-service provider (IaaS, Backups, Storage, Disaster recovery, Networking).The role is to support and operate enterprise infrastructure within a managed hosting and data-centre environment. The role will suit engineers with solid, hands-on experience across compute, virtualisation, storage and networking, who are comfortable working within operational processes and shared service models.ResponsibilitiesCo-ordination and Ownership of escalations from 2nd lineLiaising with 3rd party vendors and taking part in troubleshooting conference calls to perform root cause analysis on critical system issuesProvision of 3rd line technical support to internal and external customers, maintaining service levelsPerforming daily health checks of cores service platformsPerforming regular maintenance and patching of core service platformsCreating and maintaining technical knowledgebase documentationRequired Skills & QualificationsFull UK Drivers licenseTroubleshooting skills (Windows/Linux OS, Storage, Backups, Networking)Desired Skills & Product ExperienceTicket Management to an ITIL Standard Service-NowIaaS VMwareStorage SAN, S3, CloudBaaS VM, File Database, Network ConfigurationDRaaS Zerto, SRMNetworking Cisco/FortinetMonitoringOffice 365This is a phenomenal career opportunity.
