Job Description We're working with a well-established, multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy with a strong presence across the UK. They deliver a wide range of infrastructure and built environment projects, with a particular focus on highways, transport, and asset management.Their teams work closely with local authorities and public sector clients, providing technical expertise across the full lifecycle of infrastructure projects. They are known for their collaborative culture, strong staff retention, and commitment to professional development.The RoleThis position sits within their highways team, supporting the delivery of maintenance and infrastructure schemes across Scotland.The role focuses on monitoring works, verifying contractor performance, and ensuring compliance with contracts and industry standards.You'll have a mix of site-based inspections and office-based reporting, working across a range of road maintenance and infrastructure projects.What you'll be doingMonitoring highways maintenance and construction worksVerifying contractor measurements and outputsEnsuring compliance with contracts, processes, and standardsCarrying out site inspections, including H&S (CDM) checksProducing reports (measurement, monitoring, monthly/annual)Supporting incident and winter maintenance reviewsWorking with asset/data systems (e.g. IRIS)Attending meetings with stakeholders and contractorsWhat we're looking forHND, degree, or equivalent in Civil EngineeringExperience within highways / roads maintenance or constructionUnderstanding of measurement and contractor complianceComfortable working across both site and office environmentsStrong communication and reporting skillsRoads/highways experience is essentialWhat's on offerCompetitive salary with regular reviews26 days holiday + bank holidays (rising with service)Hybrid workingStrong training and development cultureICE support and mentoringExposure to varied, Scotland-wide projectsClear progression opportunitiesJBRP1_UKTJ
