Job Description Equity Swaps Data Analysis Developer | 12 month contract | Hybrid, Glasgow 3 days pw |Day Rate: DOEOverview Harvey Nash's finance sector client require a senior developer that has experience working with data lineage and/or data architecture. The candidate should have strong knowledge working in with various programming technologies including Java and Python programming languages or equivalent. Also require experience with various database technologies including RDMS. The role is required to support a global front office team for a Tier 1 investment bank supporting the Equity Swap business. The role will be to collaborate with firmwide governance, capturing and automate the documentation of datasets and dataflows between systems. Strong analysis skills and ability to read code to understand data will be essential as well as ability to document and communicate to various stakeholders.You must be experienced AI tools and looking to use these technologies to help with analysis and automation of the process.Key Responsibilities: Ability to identify and inventory datasets across diverse code repositories written in multiple languages o (Java, Python, Perl, Shell, SQL, MongoDB, Sybase, DB2) Automate the capture of and maintenance of data catalogues and documentation as code Leverage GenAI tools to automate dataset discovery, documentation, and data lineage analysis Create and maintain data flow documentation and architecture diagrams Participate in data governance discussions to ensure compliance and data quality standardsSkills that will help you in the role: Strong communication and presentation skills Competent with database technologies (Sybase/IBMDB2), with a proficiency to understand complex queries Programming experience in a high-level language i.e. Java/Python or C++ Experience with metadata management, or data lineage tools Experience with LLM/GenAI tools (GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) Exposure to version control systems and CI/CD pipelines Previous work in financial services or banking technology Understanding of how datasets are consumed across systems Experience working with automated testing methodologies i.e. TDD or BDD Skills Desired: Knowledge of the Equity Derivative businessToFromRecord Yes No Always use these settingsJBRP1_UKTJ
