Job Description Manufacturing StorekeeperOur client is a UK-based launch vehicle provider committed to environmental sustainability and advancing space capabilities. With the goal of conducting the first-ever vertical orbital launch from the UK, they aim to fill a critical gap in the market by providing cost-effective, sustainable access to space.They're currently looking to expand their team and are looking for an organised and resourceful Storekeeper to manage inventory systems. With thousands of components used across launch vehicles, there is a requirement for large, well-organised stores.Key responsibilities and tasks include:Responsible for managing the storeroom, including monitoring stock controlOff-loading and loading deliveries to and from the workshop/stores areaOrganising stock and maintaining a systematic approach to storing and retrieving items to maximise space and accessibilityMaintaining accurate stock levels in line with the ERP systemOperating and upgrading current workshop storeroom systems to support growthPicking and delivering line-side stockPicking and packing outgoing deliveriesCreating essential tooling kits and documentation, confirming all items are accounted for dailyEnsuring warehouse policies and procedures are followed and reporting discrepancies to the Supply Chain ManagerComplying with 6S Lean standards to maintain high levels of safety and efficiencyBeing part of a dynamic and fast-paced team contributing to the UKs space launch capabilityEssential Experience / SkillsMinimum of 3 years experience in an inventory, warehouse, or engineering roleAcademic minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent)Knowledge of standard workshop tools and their operationAwareness of occupational safety hazards related to workshop operationsEffective communication skills with the ability to coordinate daily with other teamsExcellent administrative, organisational, and attention-to-detail skillsExperience prioritising tasks to improve efficiencyAbility to adapt to changing demands and positively challenge existing processesExperienced Fork Lift Truck driverDesirable Experience / SkillsWorking knowledge of inventory management systemsExperience of PAT testingKnowledge of effective material handling processesAdditional RequirementsValid passport with the right to work in the UKFull driving licence preferredWillingness to work in a dynamic, teamwork-oriented environment
