The firm is currently recruiting an experienced lawyer to join its growing insurance practice, based in either its Edinburgh or Glasgow office. The insurance team advises on a broad range of complex matters for a varied client base, including professionals, insurers, and corporates. The team is seeking a candidate with at least 3 years’ PQE level with strong professional indemnity expertise. The successful individual will have experience acting for professionals and insurers in complex and high-value claims. Advocacy experience is desirable, as is previous exposure to both the Sheriff Court and Court of Session. Key tasks will include: Advising on both pre-litigated and litigated matters, promoting early resolution and exploring alternative dispute resolution where appropriate Handling a wide range of professional indemnity cases, including high-value and technically complex claims Advising on claims as well as conduct and service complaints Applications are welcomed from candidates with a strong litigation background, ideally in insurance or commercial litigation.
