Job DescriptionCorporate SolicitorGlasgow / Edinburgh2+PQEVenari Legal are once again working with one of our international clients who are looking to bring in an experience corporate solicitor to their successful team and you can be based in Glasgow or Edinburgh. The corporate team in Scotland deals with a wide range of high quality transactional mandates including deals in public and private M&A, private equity, venture capital, equity capital markets and corporate recovery. They have an extremely strong client base, including some of Scotland and the UK's leading businesses and a number of regional or global corporates which are either headquartered or have operations in Scotland. The firm are also recognised as leaders in Scotland in sectors such as food and drink, manufacturing, technology, funds and infrastructure.With this opportunity you will take a lead role on a wide range of corporate transactional and advisory mandates, working with colleagues within Corporate Scotland and elsewhere to deliver a first class client service. In addition you will be accountable for: Building and maintaining client relationships;Contributing to business development;Coaching and mentoring more junior members of the team;Contributing to thought leadership and raising the profile of the firm externally. The role will be particularly attractive to applicants who wish to increase their exposure to and direct experience of more significant corporate transactions in Scotland and cross-border work for blue chip clients.To be suitable for this role then you should have:Good knowledge of corporate transactional work;Minimum 2 PQE;Ability to work with a degree of independence where appropriate;Project management and team working;Exceptional drafting skills and legal research ability;Strong academic record, including a degree or equivalent;Strong financial, commercial and business awareness;Ability to contribute to and participate in client pitchesTo find out more about this fantastic opportunity then please apply or get in touch on [email protected]
