Join a team that is literally powering the UK's future.About the role and what you will be doing:The role of cable jointer's mate will provide essential support to a qualified cable jointer, primarily responsible for supporting them in tasks like cable preparation, excavation, and general site maintenance while the jointer focuses on the technical aspects of connecting and sealing underground electrical cables on power lines.Cable Jointers Mate (LV) Responsibilities:Assistance with Jointing and Termination connectionsAssistance with Connections to substationsCable layingAssistance in fault findingUnderstanding utility plansPreparation and correct use of tools and machineryAssistance adhering to IQA, Client and DNO Safety RulesFollow IQA SHEQ processes and proceduresEnsure safety from the system for IQA personnel, members of the public and other companiesAssistance highlighting any issues which may affect compliance with the client/IQA SHEQ requirements or legislationSupporting the completion of risk assessment and maintaining safe working practice and accurate recordsReporting of Hazards and near missesWorking within authorisation levelsIn order to be successful in this role, you must have: Current driving licenceSite Safety CertificateACCOMP - EssentialEmergency First Aid at WorkExcellent problem-solving skill and attention to detailIf you feel you have the necessary skills and experience to be successful in this role click on APPLY today! xjdpvnf No agencies please.
