We engineer, manage, and optimise smart spaces and places, using emerging technologies to improve where people work, learn, and live.About the roleWe have an exciting opportunity for a Community Facilities Technician to join our team in East Dunbartonshire on a part-time, permanent basis. This role is key to ensuring the safe, compliant, and effective day-to-day operation of a school environment.Youll be responsible for routine maintenance, basic repairs, and site management activities, working independently during scheduled hours while maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism.Key responsibilitiesOpening and closing the school in line with required occupancy timesCarrying out internal and external building checks and reporting faults (e.g. damaged tiles, leaks) to the Help DeskCompleting non-specialist repairs as requiredEnsuring planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks are completed within agreed timescalesManaging visitor sign-in/sign-out procedures and key controlEnsuring site inductions are completed for contractors and visitorsReviewing Risk Assessments and Method Statements for works on siteMaintaining accurate records of maintenance activities and repairsEnsuring compliance with health 'safety regulations and company policiesSupporting the safe and compliant operation of the school at all timesThis list is not exhaustive, and you may be required to undertake other reasonable duties within the scope of the role.What were looking forEssential:Excellent interpersonal and communication skillsUnderstanding of safe working practices and health 'safety legislationAbility to work independentlyWell-organised with the ability to prioritise workloadFlexible and collaborative approach to teamworkPrevious experience working in a maintenance environmentDesirable:Experience in a Facilities or Maintenance Technician roleDiversity, Equity & InclusionDalkia Scotland is an equal opportunity employer.
