Job Description We're recruiting for an efficient and reliable Garage Equipment Service Engineer based in the Central belt of Scotland with travel to our branches in this area.We offer:33 days' holiday allowance with room to growAdditional opportunity to earn up to 9,000 every three years in performance bonuses(terms and conditions apply)Toolbox coverGenerous retail discountsPrivate healthcareSimplyhealth - all employees have access to a GP 24/7 and can claim money back on medical and dental treatmentsPension schemeMaternity and paternity packagesOpportunities for training and progressionAnd much more...HoursFull time: Nightshift, Monday - Thursday 5pm - 4.30amAbout the roleAs a Garage Equipment Engineer/Surveyor for Arnold Clark, you'll travel between a variety of UK sites, specialising in a range of garage equipment for both reactive and planned work.This role would suit somebody who has previous experience in a field-based engineering role and has worked with hydraulics and/or pneumatic garage equipment in a mechanical engineering environment. You should also be able to work on your own initiative and maintain a flexible schedule, as overnight stays will be required.Day-to-day dutiesAttending customer sites to carry out routine servicing and repairs on hydraulic and pneumatic garage equipment, including vehicle lifts, compressors and MOT equipmentFault finding and repair on breakdowns, plus planned preventative maintenance of ramps and garage equipmentCompleting necessary paperwork accurately and in a timely mannerEnsuring that the van is stocked with the parts and tools requiredAttending customer sites to carry out routine servicing and repairs on hydraulic and pneumatic garage equipment, including vehicle lifts, compressors and MOT equipmentWorking closely within a team of other engineers and service controllersEssential skillsPrevious experience in a similar field-based garage equipment maintenance roleHigh levels of organisation and attention to detailStrong communication skillsFull UK driving licenceThe ability to be self-motivated and work unsupervisedThe ability to work well within a teamNice to have (but not essential)Microsoft computer knowledgePlant vehicle maintenance experienceLOLER certified to surveyor levelOur CultureArnold Clark is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace.
