You should also be able to work on your own initiative and maintain a flexible schedule, as overnight stays will be required.Day-to-day dutiesAttending customer sites to carry out routine servicing and repairs on hydraulic and pneumatic garage equipment, including vehicle lifts, compressors and MOT equipmentFault finding and repair on breakdowns, plus planned preventative maintenance of ramps and garage equipmentCompleting necessary paperwork accurately and in a timely mannerEnsuring that the van is stocked with the parts and tools requiredAttending customer sites to carry out routine servicing and repairs on hydraulic and pneumatic garage equipment, including vehicle lifts, compressors and MOT equipmentWorking closely within a team of other engineers and service controllersEssential skillsPrevious experience in a similar field-based garage equipment maintenance roleHigh levels of organisation and attention to detailStrong communication skillsFull UK driving licenceThe ability to be self-motivated and work unsupervisedThe ability to work well within a teamNice to have (but not essential)Microsoft computer knowledgePlant vehicle maintenance experienceLOLER certified to surveyor levelOur CultureArnold Clark is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace.
