Pipe Fabrication Specialist

Job Title: PipefitterWe are seeking a skilled and experienced pipefitter to join our team in Glasgow. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and installing piping systems across a range of projects in the defence sector.About the RoleFabricate and install pipework systems in large and small-bore pipework using different materials (copper, cuni, carbon steel and stainless steel)Use a range of hand tools & mechanical equipment to cut, bend and weld pipes as well as installation of pipework.Install utilities aboard ship i.e. sinks, showers, and toiletsInstall and assemble fittings, valves, and related components according to drawings and specifications.Collaborate with other trades to ensure the timely and accurate completion of projects.Adhere to safety regulations and company procedures at all timesMaintain accurate records of work carried outYour Skills and ExperienceEssential:Modern Apprenticeship certificate/Trade Papers and relevant qualifications (e.g., SVQ3, City & Guilds, or equivalent)Current knowledge and experience of pipe manufacture, installation, and use of associated equipmentStrong knowledge of pipefitting techniques, tools, and safety standardsAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specificationsClear understanding of SHE, COSHH and Risk AssessmentsProven experience as a Pipefitter or similar within an industrial or commercial environmentDesirable:Marine Pipefitting ExperienceExperience in industrial or commercial settings preferredUnderstanding of manufacturing processesExperience in TIG Pipe WeldingBenefitsWe offer a competitive pension scheme, employee share plans, flexible discounted health, wellbeing and lifestyle benefits, including a green car scheme, private health plans and shopping discounts – you may also be eligible for an annual incentive.
