Job Description JOB Product Development Engineer LOCATION Glasgow TERM- Permanent SALARY - 50,000 - 60,000 per annum, dependent on experienceMy client designs and manufactures bespoke metal and plastic products for UK and global customers. They are looking for a Product Development Engineer to join their team in Glasgow on a permanent basis. The Product Development Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:BEng or BSc Degree qualified or similar in Product Design/Industrial Design/Mechanical Engineering or similarAt least 5 years of experience working in a Product Development / Design Engineering role within a product development environmentInnovative, creative and passionate about design and manufactureProficient using 3D CAD - ideally Fusion 360 software but others may be consideredPrevious experience delivering projects from concept right through to manufactureExcellent communication skills and organisational skillsPrevious experience coaching, managing or leading othersStrong analysis, FMEA and DFM skillsStrong experience with Injection MouldingA good understanding of materials and varied manufacturing processes and principles The Product Development Engineer role will involve:Leading teams focussed on the design and development of new productsManaging and maintaining the process with improvements and new initiativesReviewing, validating and delivering the full product life cycleOverseeing deadlines, budgets and timescalesProviding technical expertiseBOM management working with the company ERP systemAlways having an appreciation for CI and Lean ManufacturingTechnically liaising with customers for R&DIf you are interested in this position, please apply with an up to date CV as soon as possible, along with your availability and your salary expectation.For more information about this role please apply, or email Toby Illingworth on [email protected] who will be able to provide more details on the opportunity.Many thanks, Premier Group
