The team partners closely with Clients, Global Financial Crimes, Legal and Compliance, internal/external stakeholders to contribute to the success of the refresh program.Morgan Stanley is seeking a Director for the EMEA KYC Refresh team in GlasgowWhat will you be doing?Support the firms Clients with periodic KYC reviewsAct as a subject matter expert on AML/KYC mattersEnsure all policies, procedures and guidelines are followed by EMEA KYC Refresh teamEnsure the production teams are prioritizing cases and meeting SLA through the use of MI. Plan ahead to effectively meet deadlines by rebalancing workload often. Actively perform daily risk management checks with a keen focus on throughputBe the voice of the client while balancing Morgan Stanley’s regulatory obligationClose the loop on thematic issues and apply the lessons learned to full team. Regularly discuss progress/ challenges and overall program status with each Business unit within the regionEnsure a consistent high service performance delivery to all stakeholders through effective capacity planningLiaise with other CORDS team such as policy advisory for policy and tech improvementsEmbed robust processes to adhere to MS best practice and to enable control and maintenance of quality. Ensure the appropriate and confidential handling / sharing of sensitive client dataEnsure client engagement and sales engagement for all entities to avoid missing target deadlinesCoordinate process improvements and complex issue resolution by partnering with BCU, Global Financial Crimes (GFC), KYC management, program management, and other Operations teamsBuild and maintain strong working relationships with your team, Lines of Business, Operations, Audit, Compliance, and Technology to ensure consistent quality deliveryLead ongoing change initiatives and build/maintain a strong understanding of the relevant MS policies and regulatory environmentWhat We’re Looking ForExtensive client service skillsLeadership experience in a KYC type roleProven experience in driving productivity in an operational roleCollege/University degree or equivalent with a business focus and relevant/proven experienceAML, client onboarding, or client reference data experience desirableProven track record of ongoing coaching, educating and leading teamsOutstanding client management, partnership building, leadership and direct experience of dealing with multiple stakeholders at one timeSkills That Will Help You In The RoleAbility to work as part of a team in a fast paced environment and adapt to the needs of the team as they ariseProven experience in team leadership and supervising staffDemonstrate ability to motivate, support and communicate effectively within large teamsExceptional problem solving skills, ability to independently assess and identify plans for resolutionExceptional organizational skills, ability to multi-task and prioritize time accordinglyStrong interpersonal and communication skillsStrong ability to manage large data sets in order to analyze project trackers and metricsExcellent Microsoft office skills required, specifically Microsoft Excel (v-lookup, pivot tables), PowerPointWhat You Can Expect From Morgan StanleyWe are committed to maintaining the first-class service and high standard of excellence that have defined Morgan Stanley for over 89 years.
