GIS Technician Location: ScotlandMake sure to apply with all the requested information, as laid out in the job overview below.The main duty of the role is the manipulation and update of our clients network records and asset databases.Roles Responsibilities-Investigation of datasets to recommend changes to improve data quality.'-Data manipulation in Geographic Information Systems and other corporate systems.-Updating datasets, following Business processes and procedures.-Updates to non-geographic asset management systems-Experience with database programming languages ideally Python-Proficiency with the Microsoft office suite-Experience in working with large datasets and in analyzing data quality-Experience in working with python & GIS-Accuracy and attention to detail-Problem solving-Ability to quickly learn new software applications-Decisive, able to quickly recommend changes-Flexible and adaptable to change-Good communication skills including the ability to provide feedback and escalate issues-Able to work towards deadlines-Ability to work within a teamKey skills for the role are: -MS Office specifically xjdpvnf EXCEL-Accuracy and an excellent attention to detail.-Working to tight daily output and high-quality targets-Ability to quickly learn new software applications-Decisive, able to quickly recommend changes-Flexible and adaptable to change-Good communication skills-Ability to work within a teamPreference given to local candidates for this position
