Manufacturing StorekeeperAlexander Associates are working with a groundbreaking company in the space industry who are seeking an experienced Storekeeper to manage their inventory systems.The successful candidate will take complete ownership for all store related activities and ensure all stock, tooling and work materials etc are stored appropriately.The successful candidate will provide key support to the Manufacturing Team and so effective communication skills are crucial. Main tasks will involve ensuring accurate inventory levels, equipment control and maintenance of current tools and machineryKey Responsibilities and Tasks:Responsible for managing storeroom, including monitoring of stock controlOff-loading and loading deliveries to/from the workshop/ stores areaOrganising stock and maintaining an established systemic way of storing and retrieving items to maximise workshop space and accessMaintaining accurate stock levels in line with our ERP systemOperating and upgrading current workshop storeroom systems to enable to growthPicking and delivering line side stockPicking and packing outgoing stock deliveriesCreating essential tooling kits and documentation, confirming all items are accounted for dailyComplying with 6S Lean standards to ensure a high standard of safety and efficiencyEssential experience/skills:3+ years of experience in an inventory/warehouse/engineering roleKnowledge of standard workshop tools and their operationKnowledge of occupational safety hazards related to general workshop operationsEffective communication skills, coordinating daily with other teams to ensure results are achievedImpeccable administration, diligence, and organisation skillsExperience of prioritising tasks to save time and improve efficiencyExperience of adjusting to changing demands and positively challenging existing ways of workingExperienced Forklift driverDesirable experience/skills:Working knowledge of inventory management systemsExperience of PAT testingKnowledge of effective material handling processesThis is a great opportunity to join a launch vehicle manufacturing team and be part of their journey to orbit.
