Plant Manager - Manufacturing - Glasgow AreaAn established and growing manufacturing company in the plastics and additive materials industry is looking for an Plant /Operations Manager to oversee its full site operations in Glasgow area. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this is a strategic and hands-on role with full responsibility for Production, Maintenance, and Warehousing, as well as Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality compliance.We’re looking for a motivated, commercially aware operations leader who can drive efficiency, build strong teams, and lead change in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentKey Responsibilities:Lead and manage all site operations, including production, maintenance, and warehouse teamsEnsure compliance with health 'safety, environmental, and quality standardsDrive operational excellence and implement continuous improvement initiativesManage resources effectively to meet production targets and strategic goalsDevelop and monitor KPIs to track performance and identify areas for improvementCoach, mentor, and lead a team-focused cultureSupport strategic planning and site development in line with business goalsStay updated on industry trends and apply best practices in manufacturingWhat We’re Looking For:Proven experience in a manufacturing operations leadership role (e.g., Operations Manager, Plant Manager, Site Manager)Background in plastics, chemical, or process-based manufacturing - mustStrong knowledge of HSE, quality, and environmental complianceHands-on leadership style with excellent team development skillsCommercial awareness and experience managing KPIs and cost controlsDegree in Engineering, Operations, or related fieldWhat’s On Offer:Full-time permanent position, Monday–Friday scheduleCompetitive salary (commensurate with experience)Private healthcare, pension, life assurance32 days holiday (including bank holidays)A collaborative culture and a leadership role with visible impactOpportunity to grow with a reputable, well-established business backed by a larger groupThis is your chance to take ownership of a key manufacturing site and drive positive change across operations, safety, quality, and team performance.
