Locum Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology

Triple West Medical have been appointed by an NHS Trust based in the Essex region to help recruit an experienced Locum Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology for a Fixed Term Contract for 12 Months min. The Trust have over 10,000 staff offering comprehensive range of acute and community services over a number of sites to over 1 million people. You will have excellent clinical skills and the ability to lead on the shop floor. You will be expected to be active in the teaching and supervision of all multi-disciplinary staff. This is a new post to achieve Ockendon and CQC standards within the unit. There is potential for this post to be made substantive at the end of the fixed term agreement, subject to the usual recruitment processes. The service is currently undergoing changes to the consultant rota to divide the Gynaecology emergency and labour ward on-call duties as per CQC and Ockendon requirementsBrief Duties/Responsibilities:To provide ante-natal clinicsTo provide general gynaecology serviceTo provide a service for 2ww and gynae-oncology patientsThe candidate will be expected to cover every other Monday on call for Obstetrics andGynaecology and also prospective coverThe post holder will be expected to be actively involved in the clinical governanceaspects of the directorate and the trust including risk management and CNSTTo take up leadership roles within the directorate and play an active role in theoperational and strategic management of the departmentProvide leadership and participate in Clinical Audit programmesOur NHS Client is happy to issue Certificate of Sponsorships to suitably qualified overseas doctors.
