Vista products are distributed through various outlets across the UK and EIRE.Role DescriptionThis is a full time, on-site role located at our Whaley Bridge site for an Experienced Power Press Setter & Operator. The Press Setter & Operator will be responsible for setting up and operating power presses, ensuring the quality of the produced parts, and adhering to health and safety standards. Daily tasks include machine setup, performing quality checks, maintaining equipment, and troubleshooting any issues that arise during production.What You'll Do:Set up, calibrate, and adjust presses, tooling, and dies for efficient production runs.Read and interpret schematics, and technical drawings to meet specification requirements.Perform tooling changes, alignments, and fine adjustments to maintain product quality.Conduct quality checks using precision instruments such as callipers and gauges.Troubleshoot machine issues; liaise with Maintenance and Toolroom staff to resolve problems quickly.Follow safety regulations, procedures and machine guarding protocols.Carry out basic preventive maintenance to minimise downtime and extend equipment life.Maintain high attention to detail to detect defects and ensure consistent product quality.Adapt to changing production priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.Move and load raw materials using overhead cranes and slings.Demonstrate reliability, teamwork, and a commitment to continuous improvement.What Are We Looking For:Proven experience in press operation and setup (minimum 3 years).Experience using overhead cranes inc. understanding load limits and pre-use inspections. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.Excellent attention to detail and a quality-focused mindset.Ability to adapt to changing priorities.Reliable, safety-conscious, and team-oriented.Good, confident communicator.Experience / Qualifications:Apprenticeship in press operation or equivalent NVQ level 2/3 (required).Minimum 3 years experience in press setting and operation (required).Power press safety training certificate (required).Overhead crane and hoist qualification or certification (advantageous).LOLER training or certification (advantageous).Why Join Us:Competitive pay & paid overtime.Attendance bonus.33 days paid holiday (inc. public holidays).Days based, 40 hour week, (Mon - Thu 07:30-17:00 & Fri 07:30 - 15:00).Onsite parking.
