BAM Infrastructure is seeking experienced and motivated Commercial Managers to join our growing team, delivering major civil engineering projects across Scotland. Our current projects are part of the energy infrastructure sector, focused on building new substations that support Scotlands transition to net zero.In this role, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of projects, reporting directly to the Senior Commercial Manager. We're on an exciting journey to get us there by recruiting the very best talent to join us regardless of race, colour, religion, nationality or ethnic origin, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability or other characteristics.Your missionAs a Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for the following:Maintain effective communications with the Framework Director, Regional Commercial Manager, and Senior Commercial Manager, in addition to project management and other associated disciplines, and enhance the profile of commercial servicesBe responsible for staff matters, which may include staff succession awareness, recruitment, development, attitude and behavioural issues, competency and retainment issues, and staff allocationProvide commercial contact with supply chain partners, including key supply chain managementEnsure audits are carried out and feedback is provided to the businessProvide commercial input to contacts with clients, and if necessary, client's representativesProvide commercial advice to the site team in connection with all project issues and provide input to area commercial discussions/reviewsTake part in discussions concerning project performance and provide commercial input to project strategyManage the Project Commercial Managers to ensure the production of monthly cost and value reports, quarterly forecasts, and company-tied costs.Obtain cash-flow information and, alongside the Project Commercial Managers, present all reports.Provide support and input to dispute identification and managementProvide support and input during negotiation of insurance claims with the insurer's representativesAgree terms and engage legal and commercial consultants and monitor their accountsMaintain contact with supply chain partners through contract vetting and input to contract documentationCarry out sub-contract document vetting and input to sub-contract documentationWho are we looking for?Successful experience as a Commercial Manager working with multiple projects and with a minimum of 4 years in this roleJoint Venture experienceMember of a Professional Institution or working towards application of the ICES, or similarOpen collaborative approach and willing to help and assist those around youEducated to Degree level in a relevant Commercial, Construction or Project Management qualification (preferred but not essential)Whats in it for you?Competitive salaryA wide range of family-friendly policiesCompany car/car allowance/travel allowance8 % matched pension contributionsPrivate healthcareLife assurance26 days holiday2 wellbeing days1 volunteering dayPersonal and professional developmentBAM Infrastructure is also committed to equality of opportunity in all its employment practices, and to developing policies that support work-life balance.BAM is committed to ensuring a fully inclusive recruitment and onboarding process, so if at anytime you feel you may need any reasonable adjustments, do not hesitate to speak with one of our team, and we will do our best to support you.JBRP1_UKTJ
