This role is fast-paced, dynamic, extremely varied and challenging, however also very rewarding for someone who genuinely enjoys working with other like-minded, hard working people. Key tasks range from operating the fixed plant control system, operating mobile plant and undertaking light maintenance tasks including housekeeping duties. Start times are variable to meet customer requirements, it includes regular nights and weekend shifts. About the role The most important thing for us is that you can work safely and look out for yourself and your colleagues. Secondly, you should have a genuine passion for customer service and strive to do everything within your power to make their experience consistently excellent. Other elements of the role include: Weighing vehicles in and out of our weighbridge and producing relevant documentation with correct order numbers in place Mixing products on the asphalt plant, to consistently meet product specifications Carrying out pre-start checks on fixed and mobile plant to ensure that it is safe to operate Operating the Loading shovel and other mobile plant Carrying out routine maintenance, greasing and visual inspections on the fixed plant Who you are Excellent communication and time keeping skills. Strong IT literacy Proactive and can work on your own initiative, as well as following instructions Willing to work as part of a close team Flexible with work hours and willing to work weekends and nights in order to meet customer requirements The desire for training and willingness to learn You will need to develop a sound appreciation of Health & Safety, housekeeping and environmental regulations Experience driving a loading shovel is desirable.
