Although full training is given, experience in a scientific testing environment with practical experience in performing analytical testing (GLP) would also be an advantage.You must have great attention to detail, be reliable, enthusiastic, flexible and capable of working on multiple activities concurrently. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential. This will be an excellent opportunity to develop your career within a growing company.Able to commute daily to Whittlesford, CB22.*Role Objectives*To support manufacturing operations by conducting a range of laboratory analytical tests, evaluating results, preparing and maintaining standard equipment and chemicals required for running of an analytical laboratory. Support laboratory activities while ensuring compliance to the appropriate internal and external standards, capture and report data with technical rigor and accuracy.*Knowledge and experience:**Essential** Educated to Degree in a relevant scientific discipline or equivalent relevant experience in a laboratory. You should have a good knowledge of basic lab equipment.* Practical experience in performing analytical testing (GLP)* Well organized and capable of working on multiple activities concurrently.* Computer literate in standard MS office applications* Experience in using a range of instrumental and classical analytical techniques, including HPLC, GC, GC-MS, UV Spectroscopy and wet chemistry.*Advantageous** Knowledge of chromatography data handling and processing systems.* Good working knowledge of quality / regulatory standards and quality systems, in particular GLP.*Person Specification** Flexible and adaptable to meet customer/business requirements.* Meticulous attention to detail and an ability to follow written instructions.* Self-motivated, enthusiastic and quick to learn.* Conscientious attitude with the ability to work under pressure, to prioritise workloads and meet tight deadlines* Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing* Planning and organisational skill*Benefits*:Salary: Range £28,000 - £29,250 DOEHours: Full-time, 37.5 hours pw, no shifts, 08:00 – 16:00Holidays: 25 + Bank Holidays DaysPension: 5% Company ContributionDIS: Life Assurance = 4 x SalaryParking: Free, On Site* Training & Development* Cycle to Work Scheme* Electric Vehicle Scheme* Regular Social EventsJob Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: £28,000.00-£29,250.00 per yearBenefits:* Casual dress* Company events* Company pension* Cycle to work scheme* Free parking* Life insurance* On-site parkingApplication question(s):* Maximum of 60-minute commute from WhittlesfordEducation:* Bachelor's (preferred)Experience:* practical HPLC and GC testing: 1 year (required)Work authorisation:* United Kingdom (required)Work Location: In person
