BRANCHMANAGERAll potential candidates should read through the following details of this job with care before making an application.OPERATIONSMANAGEROnsite-HytheShiftpattern-5x8hrdaysacrossSundaytoFriday40,000 - 42,000 + bonus and other benefits.Whythisclientandthisrole?Ourclient,a highly successfulimportbusinessareexpandingtheirUKoperationand offering akeyrolewithintheirinternationaltemperature controlled logisticsnetwork.In this role, you willhavedirectinvolvementin bothoperationalandbusinessdecisionsand become atrustedadviser to thebusiness, customers, partners and build a highly effective team around you.Their UK client base sits at c55 and they want growth in 2026youll already know OR be proactive in sourcing customers in the food industrywholesalers, distributors, restaurants etc.Youwillbringyourpassion andexpertisetomaketheKentofficeathrivingsuccessful extension oftheEuropeanoperation.WhatistheBranchManagerrole :TheBranchManagerwillberesponsibleformanagingthelocalteam(currently5people),coordinatingdailyoperationalactivities anddevelopingthebusinessinalignmentwiththe companys growthstrategy.Youll enjoy meeting customers each week, cementing and growing these relationships, youll be the key contact for partners in the UK and Italy, and be the go to contact for all business enquiries.Unlikesomeshiftpatternsinthelogisticssector,youwonthavetoworkaSaturday, however, youwillwork5daysaweekbetweenSundayandFriday.KeyResponsibilitiesoftheBranchManagerOverseeandcoordinateallbranchoperations,includingtransport,customs, warehousing,andlocaldistribution.Manage,guide,andmotivatetheUKoperationalteam.Supervisecustomsclearanceactivitiesincooperationwithourcustomsagentand ensure compliancewithUKandEUregulations.Managecommunicationwithhauliers,UKcustomsoperators,andlocaldistributors.Handleandresolveanyincidentsorvehicledelaysatcustoms,ensuringtimely coordination withtheItalianheadquartersandlocalpartners.Supportsuppliersincaseofdocumentationissuesordiscrepanciesrelatedtogoods under customscontrol.MaintainstrongrelationshipswithItalianHQ,UKpartners,andlocaldistributors.Identifyopportunitiestoexpandthecompanysservicesandstrengthentheclient portfolio intheUK.Ensureoperationalefficiency,servicequality,andcostcontrol.Managereporting,KPIs,andadministrationThisisanimportanddistributionbusinesssoitmakessensethatyouhaveexperienceinthis areaandenjoyallthatthelogisticssectorhastooffer.
