Job Description Head of FleetLeading UK Transport & Logistics OperatorPackage: 75,000 - 105,000 total reward including :10% performance-related bonus11,500 car allowanceSenior employee benefitsLead the future of fleet at a major UK transport operatorWe are working with one of the UKs leading transport and logistics operators, recognised for its national footprint, modern asset base, and long-term commitment to safety, performance, and sustainability.As part of continued investment and growth, the business is seeking an experienced General Manager of Fleet to take national ownership of fleet engineering, compliance, performance, and strategy playing a critical role in shaping how the fleet evolves over the coming years.This is a senior leadership role with real influence across asset strategy, supplier management, sustainability, and cost control.The roleReporting to the Fleet Director, the General Manager of Fleet will lead the fleet function at a national level, ensuring vehicles and trailers operate safely, compliantly, and efficiently, while delivering the lowest total cost of ownership across the asset lifecycle.About youYou are a commercially minded fleet leader with strong technical credibility and the confidence to operate at senior level. Essential:Qualified in HGV Repair and MaintenanceTransport Manager CPCStrong knowledge of UK transport legislation, compliance, and safety standardsCommercial and financial acumenProven ability to develop and deliver fleet strategies and budgetsExperience leading and engaging teamsTrack record of delivering service and cost improvementsWillingness to travel nationally, with occasional overnight staysWhy consider this opportunity?
