Leadership and Management: Recruit and manage a high performing team. Organize and plan rotas on T&A system within budgeted guidelines. Train staff on etiquette, menu knowledge, wine pairings, and upselling techniques. Handling staff issues in line with company policies and procedures / managing holiday requests / absences / performance management / employee relations. Be responsible for motivating and training the team including company statutory training as well as any ad-hoc training. Organise and attend meetings to provide daily updates with your team and facilitate communications with your line manager. Create staff training programs and continuously monitor for areas for improvement. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment. Guest Experience : Ensure an exceptional dining experience for guests by maintaining the highest standards of service, ambiance, and attention to detail. Implement and uphold service standards consistent with a five-star rating. Coordinate with the marketing team to promote special events, seasonal menus, and other promotions. Respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints. This also includes replying to reviews on online platforms such as Tripadvisor / Open Table etc Health & Safety: Ensure compliance with H&S procedures, adding cases to Riskproof when necessary. Ensure excellent standards of cleanliness are maintained within the restaurant at all times. Report any issues or concerns to Maintenance department. Finance: Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste. Cash handling - cashing up / restocking change bag Manage wage costs efficiently. Compliance and Safety: Ensure the restaurant complies with health and safety regulations. Oversee proper food handling, storage, and cleanliness standards. Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with regular guests and VIPs. Work collaboratively with other departments such as Marketing to streamline processes. Strong communication with kitchen passing on all communication to FOH team Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Stay current with industry trends and best practices.
