Our client, a leading company within the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking a highly skilled FPGA Engineer on a contract basis. This role offers a unique opportunity to take FPGA designs through the complete development life cycle, making a significant impact in a challenging and dynamic field.Key Responsibilities:Developing and verifying FPGA designs using VHDLXilinx FPGA experienceOptimising designs for performance and power dissipationIntegrating and debugging FPGA solutions in hardwareUsing configuration management systems for code controlDeveloping HDL solutions for Microchip devices and using Libero for design synthesisVerifying HDL solutions using Modelsim/QuestasimJob Requirements:Experience taking FPGA designs through the complete development life cycleStrong skills in FPGA development (design and verification) using VHDLAbility to optimise designs for performance and power dissipationExperience performing integration/debug of FPGA solutions in hardwareExperience in using configuration management systems for code controlExperience developing HDL solutions for Microchip devices and using Libero for design synthesisExperience verifying HDL solutions using Modelsim/Questasim (UVM experience would be beneficial)Additional Skills:Requirement's analysis, capture and management using DOORsKnowledge of PCIe NVME and implementation in FPGAUse of Xilinx or Altera devices and toolsetsExperience in the definition and use of 3rd party IPDesign for securityEmbedded firmware design (C/C++/assembler)Cryptographic standards and algorithmsGood knowledge of the integration of FPGAs in hardware platformsIf you have the necessary skills and experience to excel as an FPGA Engineer, we would love to hear from you.
