QA Tester

Job Description A growing digital technology business working in highly secure environments is looking for a QA Tester to join its collaborative engineering team. This role plays a key part in ensuring complex applications move smoothly from early experimentation through to production-ready solutions.Role Overview:Location: Farnborough (Hybrid)Package: Competitive salary + benefitsIndustry: Secure Digital Technology / Defence & National SecurityWhat Youll Be Doing:Testing a wide variety of systems, from early-stage research projects to production-ready platforms.Working closely with developers, stakeholders, and partners to ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle.Contributing to Agile ceremonies and helping evolve effective Agile testing practices.Reviewing requirements and user stories, helping shape acceptance criteria.Carrying out exploratory testing across complex applications and systems.Identifying test coverage gaps and recommending areas for additional manual or automated testing.Supporting non-functional testing considerations such as performance, reliability, and scalability.Communicating test results and insights clearly to both technical teams and project stakeholders.Ensuring products meet quality expectations as they transition from prototype or proof-of-concept into production.Main Skills Needed:Strong passion for software testing and delivering high-quality products.Experience working within Agile development environments.Hands-on exploratory testing experience across complex systems.Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.Experience using testing tools and test management platforms.Clear communication skills and the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams.Strong documentation and organisational skills.Eligibility or willingness to undergo UK Security Clearance.Desirable Experience:Test automation exposure.Performance testing knowledge.Security testing experience.Whats in It for You:25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.Private medical insurance and life assurance.Contributory pension scheme.Discretionary bonus scheme.Professional development and training opportunities.Cycle to Work and employee perks schemes.On-site facilities including parking, gym, caf, and restaurant.Modern office environment with relaxed dress code and social spaces.A collaborative culture focused on innovation, quality, and continuous improvement.Curious?
