Inventory and MRP Process Lead

Your new roleThis is initially a contract (circa 6 months) to assess and improve Inventory and Materials Management / MRP processes. What you'll need to succeedIt is essential that you can assess their current processes and systems (including MRP), engage with stakeholders to understand their challenges and requirements, then improve processes and system use to achieve an optimised solution. This business does not yet need to implement advanced ERP (SAP, Oracle tec), they need to improve the understanding and use of existing MRP tool, and the processes surrounding Materials Management. You will support leadership and system users in their adoption and use of the new process, and support as manufacturing volumes move from 10's to 100's. Experience of high-value / low-volume manufacturing is an advantage (eg aerospace / marine / defence / tech / electronics / medical devices or similar), and you will be as comfortable on the shop floor understanding the specific requirements of the production team, as you are in front of a screen, dealing with the complexities of the planning function.
