A well-established structural steel fabricating company is seeking skilled and motivated Heavy Fabrication Platers to join its team in Coatbridge. Responsibilities as Heavy Fabrication Plater: Interpreting engineering drawings and specifications to fabricate metal components accurately. Using of a range of tools and equipment, including cutting, bending, and welding machinery, to shape and assemble materials. Ensuring the quality and precision of fabricated components through careful measurement and inspection. Collaborating effectively with colleagues to optimise production processes and meet project deadlines. Maintaining a safe and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety guidelines at all times. What were looking for in a Heavy Fabrication Plater: Proven experience as a Fabricator or similar role with expertise in metal fabrication techniques. Welding 6G, MIG and Mag MMA experience Beneficial Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications. Strong practical skills in using fabrication tools and equipment, such as welding machines, grinders, and drills. Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality workmanship. Relevant qualifications or certifications in fabrication and welding (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds) are advantageous but not essential.
