Mechanical Fitter

Job Description Serve Talent is recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business in Fakenham, seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join their workshop team.This is a hands-on position focused on the assembly, fitting, and maintenance of a range of mechanical and electro-mechanical equipment.Key Responsibilities:Assemble, fit, and test mechanical components and machineryInterpret engineering drawings and technical diagramsWork with mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systemsCarry out maintenance, fault-finding, and repairsEnsure all work meets required quality and safety standardsSupport machinery builds and assist with occasional installation workRequirements:Proven experience in mechanical fitting or machinery assemblyAbility to read and understand engineering drawingsSolid knowledge of mechanical systems (e.g. bearings, moving parts)Basic electrical or hydraulic knowledge is advantageousStrong attention to detail and problem-solving skillsRelevant engineering qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds, or similar) desirableAbility to work both independently and as part of a teamSalary & Benefits:Up to 33,500 per annumOvertime and bonus opportunities40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (8:00am - 5:00pm), with overtime available Sound like something you'd be interested in?
