Job Title: Lead Supervisor – Food ProductionLocation: CullomptonSalary: £36,000 – £39,000 per annumWorking Hours: 5 days out of 7 (including weekend working on a rota basis)Contract Type: Full-time, PermanentAbout the Role:We are currently seeking an experienced Lead Supervisor to join a busy and fast-paced food production facility specialising in sandwich manufacturing. This is a hands-on leadership role, responsible for overseeing a team of up to 20 production operatives to ensure smooth day-to-day operations, high-quality output, and strict adherence to food safety standards.The successful Lead Supervisor will bring strong supervisory experience from within a food production or FMCG environment, excellent organisational skills, and a proactive, team-focused approach to managing people and performance.Key Responsibilities:Lead and supervise a team of approximately 20 food production operatives on shiftEnsure all production targets are met in line with quality, safety, and efficiency standardsOversee the preparation and assembly of sandwiches to specification and volumeMonitor and enforce compliance with food safety and hygiene standards (e.g., HACCP, BRC)Train, support, and motivate staff to achieve high performance and consistent outputCarry out regular line checks, audits, and quality control inspectionsManage shift handovers, staff rotas, and production planningLiaise with other departments including Quality, Technical, and LogisticsReport on shift performance, highlight issues, and implement continuous improvement initiativesAbout You:Previous experience in a supervisory or team leader role within a food manufacturing or FMCG environmentStrong working knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and compliance standards (e.g., HACCP, BRC)Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a teamComfortable working in a chilled food environment and meeting production targetsExcellent communication and organisational skillsFlexible to work weekends as part of a rotaBenefits:Competitive salary (£36,000 – £39,000 per annum)Opportunities for progression and developmentSupportive and team-focused working environment
