Your attention to detail, proficiency in Excel, and interpersonal skills will be invaluable assets as you work closely with various teams.Graduate Assistant Quantity Surveyor Scheme The programme will last between 2 - 4 years depending on your entry level and progression. It includes a 2-year development course to focus on your professional skills which are delivered at our client’s specialist Training Hub. You will have the opportunity to attend regular business Masterclasses as well as spend insight days in other departments. This progression is supported by regular development conversations, with your line manager.Their commitment to your development means that they provide targeted support and feedback to help you focus on areas for improvement, ensuring you are well-prepared for the next review and subsequent pay increase.During your training, you'll gain hands-on experience in key areas such as: • Tender Process: Review drawings, analyse tenders, and negotiate with contractors.• Budgets: Create and manage Excel Budgets, utilise system Budgets.• Order Placement: Chair meetings and facilitate Order Placements.• Payments: Generate payment batches, address invoice queries, and draft certificates.• Conduct valuations, reconcile costs and compile comprehensive reports.• Subcontractor Management: Cultivate relationships, manage accounts and understand pricing structures.But it's not just about technical expertise. As a Quantity Surveyor, your problem-solving and ability to foster strong relationships will be your greatest assets.
